"for it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome eagle. The wrath of the eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair, still more rejoiced, for the wrath of the eagle cleansed the lands of Allah."

Get a copy of the Q'uran and maybe grab up on some books that discuss how some people use Islam as an excuse to be hateful. I'm being serious, not mean here. There's much to learn about Islam that is so diverse you can't imagine.

Sounds good but I'm afraid it's just some made up words the same as the rest of the koran. You can twist the texts to say whatever you want them to say the same way you can the Holy Bible, which has been done a lot on this forum.

I'm not a religionist, but I've read the Koran (bible too, they are both great works of fiction), but I do know that "koran 9:11" is not a real scripture designation. That, folks is a completely made up scripture.

Cripes, how long is this hogwash going to circulate on the internet?

There is no such verse, this is complete fabrication. But it is a good practical example of just how easy it is for nonsense to take a life of its own and be repeated as fact by the ignorant masses. In other words, it is a case study in the same process by which religions start.

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim - In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Doing a search online for a Qur'an translation is as easy as pie, so anyone with a hint of interest can make an effort and see there is no such verse in the Qur'an. Here is a translation of the verse in question (with a few others thrown in for context):

6. And if anyone of the Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) seeks your protection then grant him protection, so that he may hear the Word of Allâh (the Qur'ân), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.

7. How can there be a covenant with Allâh and with His Messenger for the Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) except those with whom you made a covenant near Al-Masjid-al-Harâm (at Makkah)? So long, as they are true to you, stand you true to them. Verily, Allâh loves Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

8. How (can there be such a covenant with them) that when you are overpowered by them, they regard not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant with you? With (good words from) their mouths they please you, but their hearts are averse to you, and most of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

9. They have purchased with the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh a little gain, and they hindered men from His Way; evil indeed is that which they used to do.

10. With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors.

11. But if they repent, perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) and give Zakât, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know.

12. But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and attack your religion with disapproval and criticism then fight (you) the leaders of disbelief (chiefs of Quraish - pagans of Makkah) - for surely their oaths are nothing to them - so that they may stop (evil actions).

These verses deal with the pagan Arabs at the time of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon them. The pagan Arabs harassed and tortured many of the Muslims and were intent on destroying Islam. This of course did not happen.

Fi Aman Allah,

Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid

Koran 9:11 was replealed by 9:12 which says:

"...for it is written that seriously gullible nuckleheads will believe anything they read".

The "Koran 9:11" has been discredited as a hoax for some time now.

EDIT: FYI:...
---[...Koran 9:11...]---
"But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know. "

EDIT:
'MUHAMMAD' (below),...
... I think you posted the "real 9:12".

Perhaps that's why they chose 9/11. If so, it's a self-fulfilling "prophesy," meaning that it fulfills nothing.
