Don't these questions just make you sick?

You know, the questions in Religion and Spirituality that just argues over which religion is right, which is wrong, blah blah blah. Saying it won't make anyone convert or something, it'll just cause fights. Just accept the person for who they are!

I myself am Muslim and many people have made jokes on my religion, but I just ignored them. If you really BELIEVE in your religion, you won't have any need in fighting, because you yourself know that your religion is true. I just posted this question because i have seen quite a lot of childish "Oh, jesus is god!" and "Oh, no he isn't" and "Religon sucks" and other stupid stuff.

My point is, just accept it and move on, before you lose your yahoo Answers account from posting bias answers. Period. And no, i'm not trying to destroy your right of free expression, I'm just saying, dont be TOO free.

Comments? ^_^

The only ones I am sick of are the stupid ones that have nothing to do with religion.,,,,.

"my cat ate a rat, what should I do?,"
"my chest hair hurts, what should I do?"

Some little kid apparently thinks he's cute....NOT

Christians are given the great commission to spread the word.

I believe we should only spread the word when the Holy Spirit calls us to or someone comes to us asking about God.

So my doctrine on spreading the Word has more in common with Islam and Judaism than with what a lot of Christians believe.

The thing is, here people are asking questions because they want answers. Sure, a lot of the questions are really stupid and insulting, but, even the rude people are asking questions because inside they know God exists and they want answers.

I think the rudest and most insulting posters want to know God most of all.

Sure, sometimes the only way to get to someone who is insulting is insult them right back. Jesus, may his name be blessed, turned over the tables in the Temple and chased people out.

The real atheists I know would never waste their time discussing religion, much less posting about it on yahoo. The people here want answers no matter what their belief is.

Sure, sometimes people will censor you and even martyr you.

What counts is where your faith is. I believe that if you believe that the Messiah has come and you have placed your faith in God (not in the teachings of people) that you will be saved.

God be praised.

PS: 1 Corinthians 14:4
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself.

edify: to instruct or benefit, esp. morally or spiritually; uplift

Speaking in tongues benefits the speaker, not God and not the Church.

It is always nice to hear someone confident in their religion, it is true that many times people say hurtful things about pretty much every ones beliefs here one time or another, I like to visit here to help the young Christians with their questions as they grow in our faith and would suggest that you take a few months and learn as much about your text as is possible to help others new to it here with their many questions. I started with the King James Bible , never attending any services, and learned all through self study - this is the very best way for nobody around to interpret what the individual reads is what they get!! Good luck in the future - Never fear change. AMEN!

NO - I'm not sick. If/when that comes, I won't be whining about it. I'll just leave. Kind of like the opposite of you.

I do not hestitate to speak my mind on this site or in this category. I got more violations in Words and Wordplay than I've gotten in R&S, and that ONE was for calling someone a self-righteous [insert slur here.] It was properly deleted, but I got a few thumbs up!

I agree with you 100%. I don't even bother answering questions like that because I know it will cause some sort of fight. I leave the religion questions alone. Yes there is freedom of speech but that same amendment gives us the freedom of religion as well.

I completely agree. SOOO many people make fun of speaking in tongues and praying...when I do it all the time!!

But I dont mind...as long as they dont say anything stupid about God im ok..Because sometimes its meant as a joke. People can be WAY to serious on here.

Meows! =^-^=

Dont be Too free? Well you either beleive in free speech or you dont. The fact is that you are correct in the fact that they are morons. There own words prove it. However if you beleive in free speach you must defend there right to be idiots. We have the right to speak for truth and justice. There can be no justice if certain people get to decide what speach is wrong and what speach is right.
Accept and move on. I take it your intelligent enough to take your own advice. I

According to you, everyone knows his religion is true? Isn't that a silly thing to say, since every religion claims different things, and each religion was invented by a human being who was not perfect. Wouldn't it make more sense to say that NO religion is true, and admitting that, there would not be anything to fight about.

That's true; even as a Christian, I'm annoyed by questions like "Do you believe in God? Y or y not?" (uh, just write out the word "why"...jeez) and "For all you [insert Muslim, Atheist, Christian, etc here], why do you [insert religious practice here]?"

why would you lose your yahoo answers account for expressing an opinion? isn't that kind of the point of this thing?

If you can't back up your beliefs, than why do you believe them? If you don't like to debate, than don't start the argument. and if you don't like other people's opinions, don't read them.
