Okay i met my friend four years ago.. and we always went over and over the subject of how far out friendship could go.. then a year into it i just remained quiet about the whole subject and never said a word.. our friendship went on i went to his church and became a born again christian.. i loved him with everthing in me.. that was not occupied with God.. bout six months ago our friendship ended on an extreemly sour note.. then last night i found out that he had been in love with me.. and just never told me.. i got angry when i found out that he had lied to me.. and left a not so nice voicemail.. i really want to fix the friendship.. with no secrets and no lies.. what do i do or say to fix everything that went wrong..

What is in your heart? If you also love him then the lie shouldn't matter. Forgive him and try to talk to him in a humble manner. Love is powerful and if you love him as much as he loves you then everything should bee fine, it doesn't matter how long you havent spoken to each other, the love is still their and i can tell you really care about him concerning your details. Thank you, you touched me with this question, I don't know why but you put a smile on my face. God bless

The damage may already be done. If he was in love with you and thought that you had no feelings like that for him, it probably hurt a great deal. Plus the voice mail didn't help. You might've done more damage by leaving that than anything else. All you can do is call, apologize and give him some time. Tell him how you feel if he will listen...or just wait and see or move on if he won't.

Just go an talk to him. It seems to me that everyone tries these sneaky and sly ways to get back together with someone. My way, just go and talk to the person, tell him how you feel, and go from there. At least in your heart, you will know you tried. But, if this really is a true love going both ways, it will work out.

Good luck to you!

First off, you're getting way too angry about "three years of lying". He loved you, and wasn't sure how to tell you, or how you'd react. That's hardly what I would call lying.

Now, you need to apologize for losing your temper. Tell him you were shocked and didn't react well. Tell him that you'd like to still be friends if he's interested. Then, let him think about it. If he still wants to be friends, he'll let you know.
