It's normal, my son use to the same thing, but I recommend that you wake her up, she won't be able to go to sleep early tonight, she'll be up for a VERY long time.
That's the reason why I stopped giving my son naps in the afternoon, he would want to sleep for 2 to 3 hours, and then wouldn't want to go to sleep until mid-night.
Go try to get her up, she might be cranky, but try to get to play with you, take out for a walk (if possible) that way she'll get distracted and won't be mad.
Good luck!

My 2 yr old takes a 2 hour nap every single day and sleeps from 9 pm to 7 am. I know she is getting enough sleep. A 3 year old should be on a similar schedule. In my opinion 11 pm is way too late for a 3 yr old to stay up.

It is a late nap, she is going to have a hard time getting to sleep tonight.
I would recommend waking her up slowly. Don't make it harsh, if it is to fast, then she will be grumpy.
I would just inform her mom how long she took a nap for. So, her mom knows what to expect tonight.
As a parent, you do know a child's schedule gets a bit messed up when someone else watches them. You did nothing wrong. Her mom should have said when she should be napping, and for how long.

I never put my son down for his nap later than 1pm because he runs all day from the time his feet hit the floor and he will take a 3 hour nap. Actually 4pm here and he is still asleep from 1 pm. Try putting her down right after lunch.

Yeah, my daughter is 3 and sometimes she sleeps that long. I wake her up at least 1 hour before dinner, or she's cranky and won't eat. Did her mom tell you how long to let her sleep? You might just start making a little bit of noise, and see if she wakes up on her own.

It all depends on what her "usual" schedule is like. Do you have access to her parents and can you check with them? Was she seemingly perfectly fine when she went to sleep? Are her parents away for an extended period of time or are you babysitting for a matter of a few hours? If her usual home-life situation has changed (as in if her parents are away and you are taking care of her for several days or something like that) she could also be sleeping just from that because kids sometimes change their sleep patterns when they are stressed. It also depends on how long you want her to be awake tonight -- as to whether you want to awaken her or not.

wake her up gently, and give her a few minutes to assimilate...sometimes my friends kids sleep for three hours, but then they don't sleep so much at night. When she's completely awake, take her for a run in the yard or walk without the pram! Good luck!

She might be having a growth spurt. Kids sleep a lot when they are growing. It is not uncommon or unnatural. And yes, wake her up. It will not hurt her and her mother will appreciate that her daughter goes to bed tonight.
