When was the last time you donated blood?
I donated blood today and no one was there donating blood, but me. I donated blood because some lady called me and asked me to. Why don't more people donate blood when it is such an easy way to help other people?

I just wanted to congratulate you for this act of humanitarian generosity. Whenever needed, I am prepared to donate blood and I will remember you at that time.
Good luck!

April. I never got my card from the Red Cross!

I can't donate for a while now because I found out I was anemic (they didn't catch it all 3 times I've donated blood). So I have to wait until the doc says it's OK.

I can't give blood because I don't weigh enough. And, there are a lot of restrictions. We have a blood drive every once in a while at work and people are turned away for all sorts of things. If you're on certain medications you can't do it. If you've gotten a tattoo recently you can't either. The list goes on and on. And the main reason...people are all out scared to.

Good question, everyone should. I've donated over 5 gallons since I started 20 years ago.

So to all of you out there...Call you local red cross or blood center now!!!

You can also walk into you local hospital. They'll be glad you did.

The life you save may be the life that saves you someday.
