You know I really hope you are correct in this (I have already put up a few questions on Y/A related to the Vick problem) but I have a feeling that the NFL will whiff on this one. I am not convinced of the new commishioner (former commiss Pete Roselle was a marketing genius and would have seen this as a problem to be dealt with now) being aware of how the public feels about this. I can tell you that pro football and college football are my two major sports of interest. And I put up with years of the Bengals being the worst team in the league without giving them up but if the new commish does not hit this issue hard now I will watch the NFL less and not buy its merchandise.

I voted - and I have this to say.
You cannot tell me that he had NO idea what was going on at HIS house. You cannot tell me that his relatives took advantage of him. I would never believe it. Sorry. He was - in some way - involved. Be it because he owned the house, be it because he was there, he was therefore supporting illegal dogfighting in some capacity and he should suffer the consequences. Too bad the maximum conviction is only 6 years.
