Help me decide between the clear and the clowdy. What is the difference?

I have one, and I love mine. I have a clear one, with the dome. I take mine everywhere. I want a cloudy one too. I believe it would be better to have both, however I think the cloudy is more for controlled lighting situations like in a studio and the clear for more quick shooting applications like weddings or photojournalism. Either way, I personally recommend having one.

I use the clear. It really eats up flash power, and it's real easy to underexpose. But it works like a dream if you're close enough to your subject. It comes with a short video, which is mostly an advertisement, but does contain some instruction. If you're digital, no problem, just chimp to see how it's working. It does a pretty good job of controlling shadows. Outside it's a wonderful diffuser for close up head shots.
