Do women really define what men are?

I have right to believe that women often define what men are. In other words, women determine wheather or not a man is cool or a lame. How else can one explain that men feel like they need to sleep around with different women or consider thenselves Macs, Players, and Pimps just to feel good about themselves. Also, a man's ablility to arrtract women determines whether or not he is good-looking or ugly. If a guy has had sex with several women in the past or at least has different women trying to get with him, he's considered cool and his rep goes up faster than the temperature in Maimi during the summer. If a guy is still a virgine, however, and very few women talk to him, he is considered a loser and his rep drop quicker than hail in a hailstorm. It seem beautiful women make men who and what they are, whether a wiiner or a loser.

It works both ways. Men and women determine each other's standing. There are people from both genders that know how to manipulate the opposite sex and use it to their advantage. However, you are mistaking reputation with the opposite sex for reputation with the same sex. A man that sleep with lots of women does not get a good reputation with the ladies, but he does become a hero to be emulated by many guys. A virgin guy does not attract fewer women because he's a virgin, he is a virgin because he's not attracting the right kinds of women. Guys that become players to feel better are not trying to impress women, but are proving their skills to other men. Men are winners or losers the same way women are, by who they are and how they deal with that. Everyone applies their values to judging others.

As an example, I knew a guy at work that was reasonably successful at picking up women. He once bragged to me about how many more women he'd slept with than me. My reply was that if he could ever get one of those women to come back a second time, then he could brag. And if he was ever truly successful, she'd want to spend the rest of her life with him. He shut up in a hurry, because all his conquests hated his guts after, while I've been married for ten years.

Yes, I see what you're saying. But, some women shouldn't be "defining" anything, b/c they're too fickle! lol! So, men shouldn't take that too seriously. Find a woman who compliments you in the best way, and makes you want to be a better man, just to be around her! :)
And NOT everyone considers men who sleep around to be hotter than Miami temp. , btw. You're still comparing yourself to other guys here. Guys make up the lie that women like men who have "experience" .....some might, to each her own, but we all don't.

You certainly do have a right to think anything and anyway you wish. I have to wonder if it is inexperience or simple ignorance that motivates your train of thought. Other people do not define oneself. People define themselves through their acts with other people. If, in your consensus, having sex with a beautiful woman identifies you as a real man, then what are you going to do with the rest of your identify as a person. Sex is at its best in a loving monogamous relationship that requires no labels or special attention from outsiders. Love does not identify strictly with the beautiful and many "ugly" couples have been blissfully happy all their lives. Joy comes in all packages and requires no special attention accept from the recipient. There are probably just as many men who would argue that there have been beautiful women who have ruined their lives. There are probably many beautiful women who have languished in loneliness and despair because they were sought only for their beauty and all else they truly are was found useless. So enjoy your right to believe what you will and appreciate that yours in not the only view of life.

well Girls define men because they dont understand them, usually they define men as sexist pigs, asses, pimps, players, amd bad names because they keep gettin hurt by the same type of men and just define all men like that because they have never seen any other good qualities, They define internet boyfriends all as perverts because they don't know if they're really talking to the guy they were told, and a lot of guys are only lookin for sex on the internet.....now almost every person looks only for the looks and not the personality because girls care about whats on there men(like weight, peircings, etc.) we aren't as mean as you think......even men do the same things to women...

NO WAY. i think those guys are hypicritical and a jerk. first of all, if he's been with a lot of girls, apaprently he dumped/has been dumps by..a lot of girls! if the've been dumped so many times, there must be something wrong with them!!! if a guys has sex with others a lot then woopdedoo. he's a player. but it isn't really GOOD is it? it's like if a girl does that, she's a whore.
