It seems fishy to me.

Our former boss got a promotion,so we have a new boss.He is very strict, our former boss was more laid back. One of the supervisors who used to be a "pickle puss" is now laughing and joking around with us.I do not understand this 360 degree change at all.

I need more info.

Scenario 1: The new boss may be making changes and seeing as how the supervisors weren't doing well in their management style they may be trying to show they can change by superficially being nice.

Scenario 2: the last boss was such a butthead that the supervisors couldn't be themselves and were not allowed to get out of line with what their boss wanted. Now that jerkboy has left your superviors are free to be themselves.

later....Well, the more information you give the more puzzled I become.

It could be that the new boss made it a policy. It could be that the old boss was a jerk. It could be that the supervisors are worried about their positions.

I wouldn't worry about it too much -- give it time and see if the attitude change sticks around.

Well it sure is fishy ... go to them and ask them to be mean once more If that is what you like from them.

Perhaps that style of management works good for you .

I was thinking of the looking a gift horse in the mouth ...
