Plainly speaking in Bangla we may say "TUMI SHUNDAR" when praising someone in the form of endearment (an expression of affection).

Now let us see what are the other options for 'Cute', when used as adjective:

1. cute: sharp-witted = "Tikhna Buddhi"

2. cute: attractive = "Akarshaniyo"

3. cute: pretty and charming = "Shundar - o - Monohor" (a cute girl)

Therefore, the following three answers may be taken as per the context in which this sentence would be used:

1. "Tumi Tikhna Buddhi Sampanna"

2. "Tumi Akarshaniyo"

3. "Tumi Shundar - o - Monohor"

By the way, you = TUMI and not THUMI. Dialect of Sylheti people makes Tumi as Thumi which is not correct Bangla.

Hope this helps and Happy Bangla Learning!!

i agree with mrs. miller up there, most bangladeshis tend to mix up english and bengali. i also come from sylhet and would probably say the same thing.

you'd be better off looking up a bengali-english dictionary or having a look on the web, im sure there's some website out there that translates words. and "cute" is a popular word which is bound to show up on a dictionary.

good luck! :D

In sylheti bengali or dhaka bengali (they're slightly different)? Hmm...let's see...I speak sylheti but I tend to mix it with English so I would say 'Thumi cute'..lol. You could say 'thumi shundor' but that means 'you're pretty/beautiful/good looking', etc.

different bengalis/bangals would say this differently but i would say: 'tuumi mishti' - it means 'you are sweet' but that is the closest i know!
