The people that wrote the bible claim that it was "god's" word. Therefore, the people that read it, believed that, and continued the belief. Kind of like, if enough people tell you the world is flat, it WILL be flat.

There are too many things that are accurate in it for it not to be God's word and true.
In just science and prophecy, the bible is far more accurate than man. While men were pontificating on the flatness of the earth held by pillars, turtles, men w/ strong backs, even a bear if memory serves; the bible in Isaiah 40:22 and Job 26:7 says the earth was round hanging on nothing. Man could not prove that until satellites were launched to send back pictures. The Bible said it almost 5,000 years ago.
A 100 years before Cyrus, the Persian emperor, was born, the bible foretold his name and how he would conquer Babylon by diverting the rivers protecting the city.
A 1,000 years before Jesus was born, the Bible predicted his family line. Where he would be born. What he would do. How he would die and why.
These are things no man could know. They were written out in the open for our instruction today. There was no secret code. Just one (or actually 3) language translated into many faithfully getting it right as differing languages can be. That is how we know.

The Quran does not say that the Bible is 'authentic' or a 'sturdy scripture' everywhere. The Quran fairly tells us that Jesus became the Messiah and a PROPHET, and that became he became despatched the Ingeel (gospel) yet that Christians forgot lots of His message. indexed right here are the proper verses from the Quran From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, yet they forgot a great area of the message that became despatched them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the only and the different, to the day of judgment. and quickly will Allah coach them what this is they have executed. [Quran translation 5:14] O human beings of the e book! commit no excesses on your faith: Nor say of Allah aught however the certainty. Christ Jesus the son of Mary became (no extra beneficial than) an apostle of Allah, and His be conscious, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit intending from Him: so have faith in Allah and His apostles. Say no longer "Trinity" : desist: it's going to be extra beneficial for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (some distance exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all issues interior the heavens and on the earth. And adequate is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. [Quran translation 4:171] Your argument is and not utilising a premise and for this reason fake. there are a number of Bibles built from mutliple variations, languages, with contradictory verses, all being procalimed to be 'the be responsive to God'. no you will doubt that the Quran says reality with regard to the Bible, and Torah for that remember. The Quran moreover tells the certainty approximately Jesus, that he became an outstanding prophet despatched by utilising God yet no longer God. Islam is the certainty.

I did a lot of research when I was younger to confirm the historical accuracy of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as well as the accuracy of the Scriptures. Then I read the Bible, tested it out, and decided for myself that I believe it to be true, reliable, and God's word.
No one can do all of that work in your place. You must make the effort for yourself. It sounds silly and ignorant to say that you are waiting to see "the video of this event." If you are serious about deciding for yourself whether or not the Bible really is the Word of God, you will have to do some work.
You might start by reading the works of some unbelievers who came to believe and wrote about what changed their minds. Consider C.S. Lewis, Josh McDowell, and Lee Strobel.

It is because the head of the church, which says to send all your money to, said so. And of course there never has been corruption in the church, nor people getting rich off of that. Hopefully you can note the sarcasm.
It was a human who made up the Bible, and a human who said that it came from God. Ever notice that the head of a church is the one who makes this stuff up in their minds and say that it is divine words that only come to them. You would think, since we are all supposedly the same in the eyes of God (if there is one), that we all would get the same message flash across our minds at the same time. Based on the fact that God could supposedly do anything and is all powerful.
Great question and puts a hole in the theory of those who support the Bible, since they can never produce evidence to support their statements, except to always state that it is God's word and infallible. But they can never support that with proof from God himself.

The only ones who said it was true are the ones who gathered up all the books from the village goat herders. The Hebrews first, then later by the catholics. Many of the old village books were not included because they contradicted them both.

The answer is very simplistic. Test it .
Ask God to show you if its true or not. But first you have to read the whole Bible to know what you are talking about.

No, I did not see it. It was not on the news. There is no video.
I have no proof that God said The Bible was true.
I believe it, though.
How do you know The Big Bang is true? Were you there? Did you see it happen?
Can you prove without a doubt that what you believe is true?

God spoke to Moses and enabled him to do some miracles so that people would believe.
And then God came here in human form, Jesus. He referred OT as the Scripture.
