Ooh, we've all been there, I'm sure. The only thing you can do is quit her cold-turkey, like any other bad habit. If you try to keep the lines of communication open or stay "friends" with her, you'll never properly move on, because you'll still be in love with her. You have given her plenty of chances, and speaking from experience, most people who need that many chances are never really going to change into the person you want them to be. Just stop returning her phone calls, and if you do talk to her, just tell her there will be no more chances and you really have to move on now. She'll try to sweet-talk you and win you back, but don't fall for it. Then, after taking some time alone to heal, go find yourself someone who deserves you.

She’s your addiction and like a bad habit you must let it go. Things will only get worse if you keep taking her back. It will be hard at first but with time and your friends you will get over her. Don’t be afraid to be without someone, people sometimes would rather be unhappy then fly solo. I only say this cause I was in the same position a year ago (I had dated the guy for 4 yrs) and now I found a great guy that respects me. Hope this helps.

You could tell her you want to disembark from the emotional roller coaster she's had you on for the last 4 years! I'd have to say that those years were wasted for you; but I do admit that at least now, you know what you're not looking for in a girl! Good luck!

im having the same thing, my ex finally just told me he was leaving. he was unhappy b/c he knew how much i gave him, and he couldnt seem to do the same for me. i wish he would try things again, but maybe it will work out in the end. im waiting for him to come back to me.
i know thats not helpful, but until she hurts you beyond repair, idk how you are going to stop.
