There are some songs that make me sentimental, but that's usually because I associate the song with something that happened in the past, not because of the song itself. Examples:
"Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol: if this song starts playing, I leave. It was the "our song" of my last gf and I, and I could be perfectly happy if I never heard it again.
"Cartoon Heroes" by Aqua: Reminds me of my most evil ex ever. I get kind of sarcastic and defensive when I hear this one.
"Overcome" by Live: played at the end of Season 2 of The Shield. I LOVE THAT SERIES. :,(

Most men I know don't get too gushy over love songs, unless they have one that particularly means something to them. My boyfriend once played me a love song by some country artist (even though he's not usually into country) and said that it reminded him of me. That was adorable!! And then another time, he drove us out to an empty parking lot at night and blasted Norah Jones' "Sunrise" out of his convertible while he danced with me by moonlight, just because he said the song "fit" me. But then he'll go ahead and make fun of really sappy love songs, so you never know...

I don't know about all men, but when my man hears one he likes he will grab me to him & want to dance to it & sing the words to me. I think it's really really sweet.
