Has she said anything in regard to the way the progressives have manipulated Vatican II (with their liberal actions/activities such as clown masses, enneagram, reiki, eco-spirituality and feminism)? What does has she said- not only about the abuse by the progressives, but also about the legitimacy of Vatican II itself?

I don't think Mother Angelica has ever specifically questioned Vatican 2. There were some who were definitely experimenting with new ideas after Vatican 2. Some of those new ideas didn't turn out to be so great. Some did.
Vatican 2 is no doubt legitimate. However, there were some who had their own agenda.
I feel the clergy sex abuse scandal comes out of some of this. The John Jay College of Criminal Justice did a study and found that most of the abuse cases happened in the 70s and 80s. We had a priest in our diocese that came back from a retreat in Houston very disturbed. Apparently, situation ethics had crept into seminary teaching. That is nothing is specifically sinful; it depends on the situation you find yourself in. Since they no longer screened out men with a homosexual orieintation after Vatican 2, you can see how those two things combined could have led to a lot of problems.

John Paul 2 clamped down on that.

Also catechesis was weakened after Vatican 2. There is nothing wrong with the good old question and answer Catechims.
Something like that should go along with the new catechisms. People could get the spirit of the Church with the new but understand the teachings of their faith with the old.

I've never heard Mother question the validity of Vatican II, nor can I even imagine her doing that.

you may view the quote online on the vatican internet site it extremely is from Lumen Gentium paragraph sixty 5. although, later variations of the english translations have changed the wording from "whilst SHE IS the difficulty OF PREACHING AND WORSHIP" to "whilst SHE IS the difficulty OF PREACHING AND VENERATION". The above quote is seen as a mistake interior the english translation of the unique latin text cloth as evidenced by making use of its modification in later variations. i used to be a catholic and could argue that in case you look on the practises of the Catholic church it style of feels they are worshiping Mary. It extremely relies upon the type you define worship. extremely, in its valid coaching the Catholic church is amazingly sparkling to attraction to a line between worship for God and veneration for Mary. with a view to be thoroughly sparkling - Catholics don't think that Catholics worship Mary yet maximum Protestants have self assurance that Catholics worship Mary.

Well, she got into a heated war-of-words with/against noted "reformer" Cardinal Roger Mahony....

I'm sure she has said other things along those lines...
