My ex and I were friends before we ever dated. The only reason that we broke up was he had some personal issues he needed to sort out. He has brought up us meeting somewhere but I am not really sure because I am worried that those feelings might come back. At the same time I want to see him and just maybe nothing will be there anymore. He does not understand why I will not see him. Should I be upfront and tell him? What should I do?

Tell him to leave the past in the past. There's a reason he's an ex. Don't mess up just to satisfy your curiosity.

Reflect on your feelings, and how well you know you can handle them.. Once you're certain.. then you can act on them.

If you think that you can't handle your feelings, should they come back, and then become impulsive.. Plus if you think it won't be good to hook up with him again. then don't go. No one can force you to. Also, if you're certain, then you can tell him the truth, but make sure you have a firm resolve, so that even if he says sweet things, you'll stand your ground and not go..

Now.. if you think you're the master of your feelings.. then hang out with him..as friends.

If you want to find out if there's something there or not.. then it's an obvious risk. If you're ready to face the consequences of either outcome..go. Maybe you'll have fun. It's your decision. give yourself time to think. Ball's in your court.

Give him another shot if you feel it in your gut. If not, blow him off.
