Living in such a small town in VT I'd say that I have almost all of these people as neighbors........let's see......no Scientologists, no Moonies but everyone else is accounted for. Strangely we have very few difficulties among the different 'groups'. That says something.
Yep, I even have Pagans and Wiccans and Druids.......I'm very serious, this place is incredibly diverse and peaceful. Quite a change from many of the cities I've lived in.

i myself am a christian and I can tell ya there are plenty Christians I'd rather not live next to. don't forget there are many christian denominations and people tend to debate those differences more than most.

If I had to choose, I'd rather live next to an atheist. This way there will be nearly no chance of us ever getting into "dialogue" about religion. Let's just be neighbors and talk about who has the best lawn on the block and leave it at that.

Thank God!

Vandals, Teutonic tribes or even Huguenots.
But lets get down to business:

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus.

i could prefer to have all of those human beings as my acquaintances on the comparable highway or interior the comparable house construction. I get excitement from getting to grasp approximately different religions, different cultures, and such for the reason that's what makes existence exciting and fulfills my love of getting to grasp. i'm Christian and that i be attentive to Jewish human beings and persons who're atheists. i don't be attentive to any Buddhist or Muslim human beings yet i could prefer to be attentive to a pair.

A person's spiritual background is just about the least important aspect of their character. How they interpret and act on their beliefs is a greater indication of what kind of neighbor they would be.

Having said that, a non-vegetarian Hindu, preferably from the south of India, with a wife who was an expert dosa-maker, would certainly be welcomed by me with open arms.

No one that is fanatical about their religion.
Right now I have Mennonites on all sides of me.
I am just waiting for them to come and ask me to move out of their community, even though I have lived there longer than them. They are good neighbors because they do not bother me at all and they have enough money to pay any price I want for my property. I am just waiting for the knock on my door.

Atheist on one side for BBQ, a Satanist on the other for great partying, and a fundie across the street so that the atheist, me, and the satanist can get together on my lawn and laugh at.

As a Christian, i would prefer to have a Muslim, Jew ,Buddhist, atheist, Scientology's or a moonie as a neighbor. It would give me a great opportunity to witness and to learn more about another religion.

I really wouldn't care...as long as they take care of their property...mow their lawn, keep their home painted, (a normal color), park their cars in their garage, do not throw wild parties, make sure that their children are respectful of others property, and make sure their home is kept up to neighborhood standards.

basically, I want a neighbor that will help to maintain and increase the value of all homes in the neighborhood.

if I do not agree with their theology, etc...should be of little concern to the type of neighbor they are...
