Mix banana's and mashed apples with baby food. It might be the chunks that the baby does not like. When you are eating take some off your plate to give to him. Things like cereal and chips get them used to chewing. My son is 17 months and he just started getting interested in table food. It takes some time but he will start to try new things soon. He is my 4th and they all were different. If hes growing hes healthy.

Mix it in with his baby food. Try to make it fun and look good! My daughter started eating it after my husband and I started calling table food num nums and making it look like it was the best food ever. Also, maybe you can try feeding him around an older baby that is eating table food. I find that my daughter will actually eat more and try more if she sees an older child eating. She tries to copy them. Good Luck!

Why did you wait so long to give him table foods? Just keep giving it to him, he'll get used to it! You should have been giving him little tastes of it as soon as he was old enough to eat real food!

Just keep offering, that is all you can do.

Pressuring him in any way will just make things worse.
