I think that most paintings or photo's in the past people never smiled, so it was very different.

Not knowing who she was I could jokingly say that the artist started to take off his clothes. Well it could be. But probably the artist painted a slight smile on the serious lady's face.

the secret is, in my opinion... you should always smile when you take a picture lol. Why wouldn't she smile.. like come on get real. I don't ask people why they smile when they take pictures! I mean who doesn't!..
