I would say that they are as they do not have much of an history of their own. They were just a twinkle in Britains eye until a few hundred years ago, when British people founded the USA.But hang on a moment they now have Lady Victoria and squeaky Beckham. Could they please keep them there

Oh do you mean the long varied and heroic history which includes the US Army being the only army in the World to whip England's *** Twice,not once but Twice. Or do you mean the long,varied,and heroic history that includes the US Army saving England from total and complete annihilation Twice,not once but Twice?? just curious.Jeez talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

No, I don't think so. If you study the history of both nations you will find that there are more Brits living in the USA and admiring our way of life than Americans in England. Their history have to be more long and varied and maybe heroic because they being a country longer than ours but longer doesn't being better you should know that. right ?.The only thing that we are curious about and not jealous is about their funny accent, which I find kind of peachy.

If by heroic you mean begging the Americans to come save them from the nazi's while they hide underground in constant fear of V2 rocket attacks then no but we are extremely jealous of those lovely British teeth.

No. The SHORT history of the US is varied, heroic, and like Britain's, has some embarrassment. But we don't have any period that could be called the "Dark Ages". We've also had dentists literally the entire history of our country.

What the history of imperialism, exploitation of foreign lands and people, the wars it created etc… etc… etc…
Well if you are an American of British ancestry then a good portion of British history is also theirs as well, up to the point that their ancestors left Britain for America.

No, in some ways their history is our history too, as well as most of the counties in Europe

No we're jealous of your little cars, houses and refrigerators.

Most of the Americans I know, if you ask them where they're from, they will say they are 50% English, 25% German and 25% what ever. So no the Americans aren't jealous of Britian's long history because as far as they are concerned it is part of their family history.

No love, Americans think of you as the guys in the red coats that we sent packing back to England. That one is enough for us, plus we have a very fascinating history ourselves.

I think anyone who knows of it would be in awe of britains 18th century Navy and especially Admiral lord Nelsons abilities, After some of his great battles Great masts of white pine and douglas fir where shipped out of Halifax Nova Scotia to repair the many damaged in these great battles,,So says it on a plaque in Halifax Harbour It seems Canada has always helped
