My boyfriend and I have been fighting a lot lately. He seems to think that because we are dating that I should just shell out monry whenever he asks. Here is the most recent argument tell me if I am wrong: He asked to borrow my car.
"I ask what't wrong with your car?".
"I dont have gas."
"Why dont you out gas in your car?"
"I dont have money"
"No, you have money to buy ciggarettes use it to buy gas. or go ask your mom for gas money?"
"Do you care if i run out of gas?"
"You obviously dont so why should I?"
"You are selfish and stingy. You have a job it wount hurt you to let me use your car or to give me gas money."
I work fulltime and i go to school fulltime. He is out of school but unemployed. He always has money or time to do what he wants to do but expects me to pay for stuff when he mismanages money. I am tired of it. I feel like I am being taken for granted and being taken advantage of. What do you think??

Hell no are you being unreasonable. Put your boy in check, my dear and tell him to get up off his @ss. End of story. No ifs ands or but's about it. You didnt get together with someone to support them. You got together to enjoy him.

If he doesnt realize he is being dead weight and completely falling into being classified as a good for nothing loser, you need to walk.

period.

you're better than that. and there are men all over the place ready to take care of YOU. or at the best, be your EQUAL.

I think you are right. Men are not the only targets of the big P. Provider and potential earnings for early retirement. The golden girls also get targeted by parasites. You are not his mother. There is a very nasty name for a boy who wants a mother he can screw. If he lives with his mother, or wants to be mommied, he is a boy, and not a man. Get a man.

If you can't get a man, get a cat or a dog. A real pet that lays around your house, does nothing but stink it up, and look cute. The human version isn't worth it and is much more costly, with no return and no respect, all the way around.

Cut your losses and dump him back on his mother.

I think you are too good for him. Someone who works hard like yourself deserves someone who not only respects his girlfriend (which he obviously lacks), but has enough motivation to go out and get a job, especially since he "needs" gas so badly.

No, those are your values. He doesn't seem to share them. He seems to think he is entitled to your earnings. I think you are right to tell him no.

The guy should have more pride than to mooch off you, or his mother. And yes, if the roles were reversed, the woman shouldn't mooch either.

Is he really the kind of person you want in your life?

No. You are definitely not being unreasonable. And what you see is probably what you get. Sure you even want someone like this as a boyfriend? Sounds like you two are heading in different directions. :-(

Whoa. He's dating you for you, not for your money. Don't let him borrow your car if he's going to act like that.

you are exactly right! You are not his mother, you seem to be working really hard to make something of yourself! Why are you putting up with this guy!! It will not get better! He resorts to name calling and that is really childish! DUMP HIM FAST!!!
