We were made in Gods image. Our bodies will look as they do now after this life. They will be different in ways of feeling pain and things like that.
Physical death is the separation of the spirit from the mortal body. The Fall of Adam brought physical death into the world. Because of the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, all mankind will be resurrected and redeemed from physical death.
Death is an essential part of Heavenly Father's plan of salvation. In order to become like our Eternal Father, we must experience death and later receive perfect, resurrected bodies.
We will be able to recognize one another not only because of our physical appearance, but of the soul.

I honestly think that our human bodies are a reflection of our spirit. If you were to see my spirit, you would recognize it as being me.
This becomes a difficult concept when you take into consideration that the spirit is made beforehand by God and our physical bodies are influenced by the genetics of our parents. So, it is possible that there could be some difference in appearance between the spirit and body, but all accounts lead us to believe that there is something about the spirit that makes it readily recognizeable to those who knew the person in life.

We aren't just spirit beings in Heaven, we are given our Glorified Bodies which will look much as we do now but the body will be incorruptible and both physical and spirit. So we will see and recognize one another.

Yes, we will recognize our friends and family that we knew on Earth. It's hard to explain what heaven will be like and how we will look and what we will be. The bible says we will have a new body and a new name and we will recognize each other. That's all I need to know is that I will recognize my dad and get to continue our relationship in heaven. I'm glad I accepted Jesus Christ in my heart and life, so I am guaranteed a home in heaven!!

Read Luke 24. Jesus was glorified after His death with the
new glorified body. He said touch me and see that I am
flesh and bone. He ate fish and honeycomb. We will know
one another and there will be no SIN in heaven. On the Mt.
of Transfiguration, John, James and Peter recognized Moses
and Elijah. They were not in their time frame.

Have you ever heard of 'pheromones' ... those 'sort of hormones' that we 'sense' much the way we smell something? No think of our 'spirits' or 'souls' ... I think that they have something like pheromones, and we will be able to 'recognize' and even identify the 'spirits/souls' we had here on earth because of those 'pheromone like' responses our own spirits or souls will have. I also think that if we have 'known' our true 'soul mate' that we may be 'two souls in one body' in Heaven ... as I believe will happen (or hope it will) with my husband and I because we are truly SOUL MATES. One male+one female=??? Who knows ... I know that I will be 'ready' to find out 'the rest of the story.'

First off, not everyone will get to heaven. This privilege is reserved for a very small number [ Rev. 7;4...14;1...20;4
But the bible does give us an indication of heaven. We wiull see what God allows us to see.
(Job 1:6-13) Now it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and even Satan proceeded to enter right among them. 7Â Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.” 8Â And Jehovah went on to say to Satan: “Have you set your heart upon my servant Job, that there is no one like him in the earth, a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad?” 9Â At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “Is it for nothing that Job has feared God? 10Â Have not you yourself put up a hedge about him and about his house and about everything that he has all around? The work of his hands you have blessed, and his livestock itself has spread abroad in the earth. 11Â But, for a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch everything he has [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.” 12Â Accordingly Jehovah said to Satan: “Look! Everything that he has is in your hand. Only against him himself do not thrust out your hand!” So Satan went out away from the person of Jehovah. 13Â Now it came to be the day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their brother the firstborn.
This scripture present heaven in a way we can understand. coming in and going out. Talking, decisions, results.
Just like the court of a King.
