The kitten looks to be about 4-5 months. A vet's office could probably tell you a more approximate age based on her teeth.
I adopted a girl from the animal shelter in my state and they thought she was about 4 months - the vet said closer to 7 or 8 months. She's just a tiny girl.
Either way - the kitten you have is absolutely adorable - and kudo's to you for adopting from someone vs. a pet store.

12 weeks about. Male or female? I have found most yellows are male. I had the same problem. I found a calico kitten in a trash barrel about 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe 9 wks old. Doesn't matter now. Super cat.

8 weeks? Pretty cute! Time to take her to the vet, anyways. She needs to get her vaccinations anyway. They will be able to give you a more definate answer. I didn't know when my kittens were born either. The vet said they were probably born late March or early April... So I made their B-Day on April Fools Day! Pick out a birth date that is easy to remember. CUTE KITTY!!

How much does she weigh? A good rule of thumb, that I found out during my many years as a certified vet tech, is that kittens weigh 1 pound per month until 4 months. After that they grow faster. You can also ask your vet to check her teeth, or find a dentition chart on-line, for a good estimate.

Looks about the age of my kitten...10 - 12 weeks old.
Though the weight would help.
Kittens tend to weigh roughly a pound for every month old they are. (My kitten is 3 pounds = 12 weeks.)

Cats will lose their blue eye color around 10-12 weeks. (Unless of course, you cat is destined to have blue eyes, then that color will not be lost.......) My best guess from the pictures is that she is about 4 months old. She looks like what my one kitten did when I got her, appearance wise, and she was under 4 months.

Id say anywhere from 12 to 16 weeks, Kittens at that age are completely ready to leave the mother and have nearly fully developed into adult cats.
