Basically the difference is how they treat a problem. Osteopaths can use a combination of conventional medical or surgical, pharmaceutical, and physical therapy. Chiropractors use primarily spinal manipulation. Physiotherapists generally use exercises and other physical treatments.

In USA there are 3 types of primary care providers...
1. MD 2. DO and 3. DC

In the USA, an osteopath is a "medical" degree, and chiropractor, is not. Osteopaths today, in the USA, generally practice medicine not chiropractic, although they have a historical similarity. An osteopath can be a brain surgeon in fact.

A physiotherapist is not a primary care provider. You must receive a referral to receive physiotherapy. The treatment a physio provides generally is more machines and exercises and less hands on manipulation, but this is not always true. Depending on a chiropactor's or physio's orientation... you may experience the same exact approach.

Each practitioner's approach is different I've found. Also, their sensitivity and "touch" as well.

As far as I know - and I'm no expert - is that an osteopath deals with bones, chiropractors are more 'hands on', that is, they manipulate and click bones to help with mobility. Physios provide exercises and isolate more vague problems with muscles, etc.

*edit - just checked it all online. I was wrong about osteopaths, but I can't quite understand the difference between them and chiropractors.

£20 between the first two. £50 between the second and third. Although with the third one there's a faint chance that he/she might have a medical qualification.
