I have been ttc for almost 2 years. I am on cycle 2 of clomid and have been putting off charting bbt (too tired and cranky in the morning to check temp, lol!). At this point I am desperate and will try anything. What is the easiest, most user-friendly internet site for learning how to track bbt? What are you ladies using? Any tips/advice? I already use OPK's that work, so is charting even necessary?

Thank you so much :)

Fertility Friend, and it's free! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/HelpCenter/FFBook/index.html

I think that it is great that you use OPK's, and in combination with charting your basal body temp and cervical fluid, it will give you a great picture of your overall cycle and may be helpful to your Dr as well.

The site has daily e-mail courses you can sign up for that send you a lesson each day about charting and fertility. Just get a regular digital thermometer, or a BBT one for more accuracy, and keep it at your bedside with a pad of paper and a pen. When you wake up (try to make it close to the same time each day) before you go to the bathroom, take your temp and record it. Then when you get a chance, plug it in on fertility friend. I use it and I love it. Now I know more about my primary fertility signs, and approaching ovulation after one cycle to give me an idea of my baseline and how long each phase of my cycle is. Just remember, charting will tell you when/if you ovulated after the fact, it won't tell you about impending ovulation, that's what the OPK is for. Best of luck to you! Also check out the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, amazing book on charting and fertility. Your library may have it.

www.fertilityfriend.com

I started charting 2 months ago. It's really easy. This site will figure it out for you, you just plug the numbers is. The first 30 days are free.

I just used a regular digital thermometer and it worked fine for me, but you can but a basal thermometer for cheap at Walgreens. Take your temp at the same time every morning before you get out of bed. I set the alarm for 6am, and then write it down and go back to sleep since I awake on my own at different times.
