i want to know the impact on the youth of the mushrooming of so many award ceremonies in our country..why do the watch them?

the silver screen has tremendous impact on the youth. award ceremonies are the ground where an actor is seen in their original self i.e not into any character of the director... what is the imact? or why do people want to see them, how do they get influenced?

I don't watch them that much but if I do it's to see if the award goes to the person who deserves it the most and to see the looks on the faces of those who don't win.

Award ceremonies are meant to reward excellence. But now adays we have dime a dozen awards. So as far as i am concerned its loosing sheen. But yet again if you look at it seriously you will find some award more serious then the other. Depending on the jury panel, audince particaption etc past repuatation, and most important internal industry equations
Like the new annoucned Gold awards for televsion has already run into trouble as Balaji telefilms the main provider of tv content has opted out. For they want to have theier own awards.
The viewer watch them for they get to see thier fav hero\heroines dance to hit numbers.
As for impact on the youth we need to pay attention to more pressing issues like the massive overdose of violence and of sex in our films and music video's rather then worry about awards.

I watch award ceremonies for performances n whoz the best actor & actress. But so many award really bore people.

For the glitz and glamour...but more so for looking up to people who have succeeded. Its humane to be interested in success and get inspired by them. As for the impact on the youth, its 50:50 good (inspiration) and bad (glamour).
