Unless you have severely dry skin I would not recommend it because it will leave ur skin feeling really oily. I know people say there are common house ingredients that are wonderful beauty aids...but not everything works. One time I was used mayo on my hair...ok...I was gullible, because someone told me it would make it soft. It smelled like a sandwich for a whole week! Spend a couple dollars and go to the score and buy a face mask according to ur type of skin.

This is good for dry skin:
1/2 avocado, mashed
3-4 tablespoons mayonnaise
1-2 teaspoons lemon juice
Blending Procedure:
Slice and pit the avocado. Sprinkle a bit of lemon juice over the half you won't use and put it in a plastic bag in the refrigerator so you can use it later (within a day). Mash the half for the mask and add mayonnaise. Stir the two ingredients together in a bowl until they make a smooth combination.
Add the lemon juice and stir. If your skin is normal or oily, add more lemon juice for added astringency.
Spread evenly on clean, damp face and leave for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water. Tone and moisturize as usual.
Here's another one:
Mash the meat of the avocado into a creamy texture. Apply it thoroughly on face and leave for 15 - 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores.

Avocados are rich in oils & vitamins which help moisturize and refresh dry skin. They also contain anti-oxidants which fight free radicals to stave off premature aging.
"For centuries, ancient Mayan, Aztec, and Incan beauties knew the avocado is also a wonderful beauty aid, rich in beneficial oils that rejuvenate the skin, reduce eye puffiness, heal frazzled hair, and much, much more." http://www.care2.com/greenliving/avocado-kitchen-cupboard-beauty-tips.html

You can make guacamole dip with it afterwards?
Sorry...couldn't resist.
I image the oils in the fruit help moisturize the skin. The Incas used it.
