Never been in trouble with the law. Was over girlfriend apartment ,babysitting son and step out to get some fresh air. Cop was checking ID, But he knew me as I turn to walk away he tells me I'm underarrest. Charges was loitering and obstruction of an officer

If you can afford a lawyer, you should get a lawyer.

In the US, you are guaranteed the right to have legal representation. The "if you cannot afford it" just is another option. But you can always have one if you can get one on your own.

And if I were trying that case, I'd say the cop's actions were invalid, and the charges were bogus. And after winning the dismissal, I'd sue the cop under 42 USC 1983. But that's how I'd handle it based solely on the facts given. Your attorney may have a different strategy based on the whole facts.

Wow! I think there's a lot more to that story. My first advice would be don't tell the judge that BS. When you go for your arraignment, you can ask for a court appointed attorney from the Indigent Defender Board. The judge will ask you about this.

That feels like a somewhat dumb fee to me. have been you belligerent? even nonetheless, if i had the money for a lawer i could get one as to have the appropriate representation available. in any different case between the be conscious and fact of the officer and having to coach your person case you may get eatin alive.
