i have changed to Quorn sausage because I'm on a diet and meat sausage is too fattening. Quorn sausage isn't too bad.

What's weird that goes into sausage? It's meat with a percentage of fat..(just like hamburger, only it's usually pork)......then spices that determine what kind of sausage it is. Smoked polish seared on the grill...mmmmm!
Note: when grilling sausage use tongs and not a fork.......try to turn the sausages often and NOT break the skin....keep the juices inside.

For the most part sausage doesnt have anything wierd or bad in it. Most sausage is made from pork butt. Some of them have by products but that would be the cheaper kinds. I myself do not eat it cause I dont eat pork.

I don't eat a lot of sausage but they are tasty. I buy organic sausage from Morrisons supermarket and hope for the best. I like them with crispy bacon, fried egg, grilled tomatoe and a few Heinz baked beans and, nearly forgot, two slices of toast (white bread) - gorgeous.

What , you mean like the lips and eyes and bellybuttons and all that? It's all meat isn't it? You wouldn't be so fussy if you lived in a cave and oonly caught one pig a year. People who eat meat ( and I do) should stop being hypocrites about it. Eating a dead animal is just that, all the bits are morally the same. I buy organic sausages, but then I buy organic meatof all kinds. If you like them, eat them. the bits that would worry me are the fillers and chemicals.

We really love sausages. We buy them from a butcher who makes his own, so we know what really goes into them. The very best for me is a lincolnshire tomato sausage mmmm.

I do, in fact it was in dinner last night. The control standards are better than they were in the early 1900's. At least there aren't rats and fingers in sausages nowadays. "The Jungle" was a great expose' on it and it's a good read.

Sometimes, I don't ear hot dogs, so when we cook them I have a polish sausage instead. I do occasionally have a sausage biscuit, tho.

I only eat the suasage i make, because processed seems so darn nasty!
Sage & pepper does wonders to any meat, like ground turkey is yummy with it. I make up a bunch in advance, freeze in small portions and enjoy for weeks :)
