I love the first one- I think it's hysterical but little risky with the great aunts and grandmothers. I was trying to find a fun funny different thing to put on the napkins for a good laugh.
What would you put on them?

I doubt anyone would notice but my great aunt because she would prob ask what is %$#!! LOL
That alone might be worth it.

I think the first one is hysterical, and an absolute riot, but the 2nd one is BY FAR the safer choice--and still fun, and personally I think goes more with the theme you've got going--I'm remembering your fun cake and invites you've shown right now. You know your family far better than we do, you know how well something like that will go over with the older crowd. Check with your fiance as well--he may have some uber conservatives in his family that won't appreciate the risque humor in #1 as well.

I think the first one would be hysterical!! I love it!! I wish I would have found these when I got married! In my family, even the older people would still find this funny. We're just very laid back. If your family is not like this, I would not suggest getting the first ones!
The second napkins and cute also. I love messages like that! I think either way you go will be great since it's something different and will add a lightness to the air on a stressful day for some!

Unfortunately people will be offended by the first one. You could go with the second one I suppose. But honestly, I have not seen personalized cocktail napkins at a wedding ever. I know they were popular in the 70's. I would save your money for something else if I were you.

personalized napkins are a huge waste of money. Guests may get a chukle (if they even ever get the chance to read it....food and drink is served on top so they may never see it), but in the end they toss it out about 2 minutes after getting it.
The first one is cute though, but you need to be prepared for those select few that do read it to be coming up to you saying you're the one that invited them. They'll think they're being funny but you'll be sick of hearing it.

I like both of them. The first one is hilarious and that sounds like something I would do. The 2nd one of course is the safer one and still cute. Pay no mind to all these negative answers, they simply don't have the same sense of humor you have. If I saw the 1st one I would definitely laugh out loud and make comments about it. The 2nd one I would give a little laugh and say how cute they were. If you like the 1st ones better then go with them cuz it's your wedding and honestly if someone gets offended then too bad.

I would stick with the classic eat, drink, and be married. Or you can cut out the profanity and just have them say "who invited you?"
Less offensive but diff. would be something like "you can read this so obviously you need another drink"
The first one is funny but like you said, more than likely wouldn't go over well with the stuffed shirts.
In all honesty though I think those personalized napkins are a waste to begin with...you are putting money into something whose only purpose is to wipe up messes and get thrown away.

Personally, I think it's always out of line to insult your guests, even in jest, so I wouldn't dream of going with the first one. "Eat drink and be married" is cute without being offensive to anyone. This is supposed to be a happy, welcoming, inclusive, celebratory event--why would you be unfriendly on the napkins?

I agree that the personalized napkins are a bit of a waste, so if you could get something on them that is not 'wedding' related so that you can use them later and not have them look like 'leftovers' that would be great. For that reason I do like #1.

lol...the second one is cute, but the first one is funny as heck...I love it! I would go with the 1st one, but only because I know my family would never be offended by something like that. if you think yours might be then you may want to do the second ones, but if you truely love then 1st then go for it. its your wedding and you should do it to reflect you.
as for people saying they are a waste of money...I dont think so at all...I would actually grab a few just to take home with me becuase I find it funny. if they want to get talking about waste of money...then there are tons of things at weddings you could consider a waste of money...flowers that die, favors that get left behind, a dress that gets worn once, thank you cards that get tossed out...I could go on and on, but people still have these things...I did too...so why not funny napkins that can break the ice between people who dont know eachother?

The second one i better. But make sure it goes with the overall tone of your wedding. Is it more of a fun & casual affair? If it's formal, it may take away from it.
I am guilty of being random and these are the things people try to point out to me! I am either random and mismatched - OR I go overboard with a theme.
