At the pet store, they have a product that is basically a big square made of diaper material. I suggest you use them as a mat in the area the dog poops. Do you have a doggie door? If not, then get one and show the dog how to use it. If you have time, take the dog to doggie school. There both the owner and the dog will learn how to communicate with each other and how to let the dog know what to do and not to do. Also, the trainers may know many different hints about how to potty train even the most stubborn of dogs. During the day, take the dog outside for a while, so that he can relieve himself outside. Go for a stroll if possible. Then at night, take him outside once again. Also, be careful about the feeding. Don't let him have food all day long. Feed him in the morning, then in the evening. Anyhoo, there's lots of potty training advice online and in books. If your husband isn't at home during the day, then I don't see why he doesn't want the dog outside during the day. When he's home, he can have it inside with him as long as he keeps his eyes on the dog. But when he's not home, just keep the dog outside with some water and a shelter from the sun. Is this 'outside' just a small balcony area or is it a backyard with grass?

There are so many things it could be, I would see the doctor for sure. You certainly don't want to let it go too long or it could turn into something worse than what it is. It sounds like a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).....You urine will be cloudy and smell loud and you might feel like you have to go a lot, then it's just a drip, drip drip thing. Try the old AZO Standard and cranberry juice, but see the Dr. for antibiotics!

Sounds like a Urinary Tract Infection, go do a pharmacy and buy some Cranactin. It helps, makes the pee red but it helps.

Do you drink a lot of pop? That can cause an odor. Regardless, I'd make an appointment.

You may have an sexually transmitted disease or pelvis inflammatory disease. Usually with these diseases, a woman's vaginal discharge gives off a bad odor. Please speak with your physician about your situation.
