Yes, my friends and i support a child from the organization Compassion international. Our church is very active in missions.

Even though i'm only a teenager, i am kinda part of the mission committee at our church. I'm a liason for our mission committee and our youth group along with one of my friends.

I actually just got back from a youth group missions trip on Saturday night. Our youth group goes on a mission trip each year, and so do other ppl in out church. we still have 2 more mission trips that ppl from our church are going on this summer.

Our church also gives money to many missionaries and mission organizations around the world! We're trying to be the hands and feet of jesus like He commands us.
God rules! :-)

To find out if the church support any mission work, you would need to ask the elders or speak to the treasurer about seeing the books. It's all right there... where the money goes and who got how much. At least it is in ours. And our books are open to any church member who wants to see them.

Me, personally... we do Samaritans Purse Christmas boxes and I give my mites (leftover change) to our Ladies Mission League to use. I'm also a member of the league, so I do get a vote on where our money goes.

Yes every Christian is to give to missions work, and if a church isnt doing this, then they are not in full truth. Its part of what we are called to do.

If the church sponsers a missionary or a mission then some of the tithings (offerings) given by the congrigation would go to the missionary.

Yes. Our church even has a business network that goes to poor countries and teaches everyday people how to start a business. Simple businesses like chickens/eggs. Teaches people how to help themselves and also while meeting needs teaches them about Jesus.
We personally support missions as well.

I do. My church actively gives to many missions. It's a good thing to do. Americans especially get so wrapped up in acquiring and keeping up with others. They forget how overdone everything is compared to what other countries have.

I don't know where all the money my church collects goes. In fact we have joked that they are in the mafia, because they continue to collect to build a new church but the nuns just keep building bigger halls to play bingo in, I'm not joking about that. But I did have a friend that went to a church that this was their main goals, they would raise money and send it to third world countries to build churches and spread the world of Jesus, they believe they are following in the foot steps of Jesus.
