The closest illustration of that kind of wizardry would be ancient Egypt. Of all the nations the Bible seem to emphasize how supremely demonic the Egyptians had become. Remember when Moses threw down his staff and it turned into a snake by the power of God? Also note how Egypt's magicians threw down their staffs and they too became snakes! Of course Moses snake ate theirs but the point is, the magicians acts where associated with demons. Later on when Moses began to bring various plagues, the magicians duplicated the act. But notice, they INCREASED their misery by somewhat duplicating the plaque they weren't able to REVERSE the plaque! I sincerely believe Egypt's dominance in the magical arts caused God to judge them so harshly when God decided to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. So the word to the wise would be to stay as far away from true "MAGIC" as possible because it is necessarily linked to demons!

Witchcraft is very real....and the bible says we are to stay away from it. Harry Potter is inducting all of our children into witchcraft.
