No, there's no such thing as a negative calorie food! It doesn't take energy to digest watermelon because watermelon has 10grams of sugar per cup and only 1 gram of fiber, which means it's broken down almost immediately. It's almost like drinking juice because it's 92% water. And water doesn't need calories to digest.
Personally, I can't handle the high sugar content so it's not a fruit I can enjoy.

Yep. and so are Apricot, mandarin orange, blackberry, melon canteloupe, blackcurrant, peaches, clementines, plums, damsons, raspberry, grapefruit. rhubarb, guava, strawberry, honeydew melon, tangerine, lemon.

seems some might not understand what negative calorie food meant hope this helps them.

When we say nagative calorie food, we mean foods which contain so little energy that the body actually uses more energy to digest and absorb the nutrients. So if you subtract calories you'll burn from the calories you eat, the result will be negative. Only by digesting the food you have eaten, there will be a net loss of energy or a negative energy balance. This is what must happen if you want to lose weight but with this food you don't have to do anything but eat it to accomplish that

In 1 slice of watermelon (about 1/16 of the melon) there is approx. 86 calories. Although this may sound like fairly little, there is a lot of sugar (about 21.6 grams of carbs!) so it does not qualify as a negative calorie food, but is still good for you!
Watermelon has vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, and iron!
