You can consult an attorney who has experience in such matters; report the doctor to the police, especially if they have a Special Victims Unit; report the incident to the county medical society AND to the state medical board by certified letter. If you know where the doctor has hospital privileges, report it to the administrator who should start the ball rolling from the hospital's point of responsibility.

Any of the previous agencies should be able to recommend counseling for you. If not, check if there are psychologists in your area who specialize in abuse cases.

The action your doctor took was not only illegal, but violated their code of ethics.

The big question now is "Are you in a safe place?" How frequent are you to see this doctor? Get a different one.

How recent did this happen? You may want to go to the hospital and be examined for any physical evidence that you have been abused and to get any care that you need. The hospital staff should be able to get you see the appropriate people for help. It would be them that could help with any legal proceedings.

I believe that with the support of someone you trust you should file charges with law enforcement and also the doctor's medical board.

Do you have access to a "Rape and Abuse" shelter or agency, they should be able to help with this as well, including with needed emotional support.

You may want to get into therapy to work through this - cause it can be/is very traumatic.

Most of all, I think that it is important to know that it was the "DOCTOR'S FAULT" this occured. It was his decision to do it, in spite of whatever you may have said or done. You may hear otherwise, but know that HE violated the code of eithics he agreed to follow when he started his practice, when he violated you.

Even if the sexual activity was agreed upon - ( and I do believe you) ethically, he has committed one of the most serious violations that he could possibly do.

Many times such as this, there will have been other victims that may come forth but were too scaredor ashamed to do so earlier.

I will be honest with you and say that should you report him, and there is legal action taken it will probably be a very tough road ahead. Unfortuanately, that is one of the rotten things about our system in situations such as this. That is why it is important to get as much support now as you can and maybe for the times ahead. Take care of you!

I hope that this info is helpful. Take what you can and leave the rest. Most importantly, I wish you the best now and in the days head. Take care.

It would have been an excellent idea to go to your local Hospital when this happened.... I am not sure of the circumstances of the abuse, however there needs to be evidence regarding what happened.
If this happened a while ago the best thing to do for yourself is seek out a good, strong, support system.
Go into counseling with someone trustworthy and understanding.
You are going to have to be able to express your thoughts and feelings and deal with all of the emotional aspects of this experience in order to come to terms with it.

You need to act as soon as possible, that doctor is trash.. he shouldn t be a doctor so you need to seek some help from trustworthy people and try to contact an attorney... such doctors should rot in hell!

you need to obtain a lawyer first then call the police get a statement of what happened then go to the hospital admin. tell them what happened. every person you talk to get a copy of the statement as well as having your session taped so there is no mistake that this has happened. your lawyer will give you more advice on what to do and not do.
