whey protein is better because its all natural protein and you can make your own shakes with anything you want - water, milk, juice, berries, fruit, flax oil/seeds, ice, cottage cheese, tofu etc.
protein shakes that are premade are most of the time high in carbs (sugar) and lots of artificial components.
