I assume by Hebrews you mean Jews, right?
We Jews believe that the Jewish messiah will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem; we are still waiting for our messiah.
So the answer to your question is no; we do not have plans to rebuild the temple.

Jerusalem holds great significance for many religions. If the temple is truly build it would trigger war across many nations. The end of the world is logical because when nation rise against nation think about the damage on the eco system and the casuality of war. The end of the world is the consequence of our own action. The Jews believe that the Messiah will rebuild the temple, so there could be someone in the world who want to be recognised as the Messiah and win the place of the most sorted personality in history. Imagine being called "Jesus Christ - the second coming" by demolishing the mosque and building the temple. A way to win the faith of the multitude. I do not think we should think only the Jews may want to build the temple, it could be anyone who wants power and dominion. But the fact remains the chances are bright that someone may do it. Do not put the Jews only in the doubt list. However, God is mighter than all, trust Him. If you have faith you will be saved.

1. Maybe.
2. Why would it be a bad thing for you?

EDIT: Ummm, Jake you really might want to learn what will actually happen, according to Judaism, when the Temple is rebuilt. It is nothing at all like the Christian "The End of the World". This way you can make educated statements rather than inaccurate.

Unlikely. The temple will not be built in Jerusalem until freedom of religion is permitted.

Isn't it funny how that which is good for God's chosen people is apparently going to usher in the end of the world as we know it? how does that make sense?
