No soft drinks. Tea with honey or stevia (natural sweetner ) and water only.

Do not eat after 7 pm.

Refined white sugar one day a week only. Mine was on Sundays.

Limit your calories to 1200 or less daily and watch your carb and fat intake. Eat as many veggies as you like. Spread your calories out throughout the day eating 5- 6 smaller meals rather than 2 large ones.

45 minutes of cardio 3 times a week.
30 minutes of weight lifting twice a week.

Noone said it would be easy but it worked! My thought was...why do people have to have gastric bypass to re-train their minds to eat less...we can re-train our selves. eventually your stomach and mind get used to eating less without being hungary!

I did real well on my version of the adkins... I just cut out all grain products, rice, beans, potatoes, and sugar. And I eat lots of vegies. Lost 50 pounds in six weeks. Exercise helps. And don't forget the protein, otherwise you loose muscle mass.

eat mostly fresh fruits and veggies (without the dips) and eat less carbs ( i wouldn't cut them out completely...they're brain food!) and drink tons of water! get your heart rate up daily to keep your metabolism up and take multi vitamins... make sure you are getting enough fiber and niacin! (cut out beverages with calories - eat them don't drink them)
