Petey was a Pit Bull. This dog, named "Lucenay's Peter", was dual-registered as an AKC American Staffordshire Terrier and as a UKC American Pit Bull Terrier.

Actulley the breed was a mix of pit bull and White boxer a lovely dog don't you think, People assume it was a just pit Bull but the skull shape was off so after looking more closly you can see the marking are very similar to a White boxer mixed with a pitt bull as well as the dogs height, prue bred pitt bulls are some what low to the ground.

The dog was a pit bull. And look - he didn't eat the kids!!
The dog in the budweiser commercials was a bull terrier (the bull terrier has a really long face)
