I read the book and I was way off on my predictions. I seriously thought that Snape was a bad person and I thought that the deathly hallows had something to do with Halloween like all hallows eve. So what did you predict wrong or right that actually was in the book?
Another question I still don't get what is so important about harry having his mothers eyes. In the end Harry mentions that his child Albus is the only one that has got his mothers ( Lily Potters) eyes. What is so important? This is the one thing that I can't figure out in the book.

I wonder how much they will cut out in the last book to make the movie.

SPOILERS!!!!

I really thought that Neville was going to die. I didn't want him to, but I thought if he died fighting Bellatrix (killing her in the process), then it would be a good death. I was very pleased with how Neville stepped up this book. Good for him!

I knew one of the Weasley clan would die. I just hoped it would be Bill or Charlie or Percy -- someone I didn't really care about. I hate that Fred died. I also hate that we never got to see George's reaction. How do we know he's OK?

I knew Ron and Hermione would ge together. I knew Harry would live and marry Ginny, too.

I didn't see Lupin and Tonks, and Mad-Eye dying. I was expecting Hagrid to die.

I had hoped Draco would end up fighting with Harry. I didn't expect them to become friends or even want that, but it would have been nice if he had been more than a background character this book.

The thing with the eyes is that Harry looked exactly like his father except for his eyes. His eyes are his mother's. When Dumbledore said Harry has his mother's eyes, Snape agreed to protect the boy because he wanted to keep the one part of Lily left alive. J.K. Rowling always said it would be important that Harry had Lily's eyes. I thought it was beautiful. I also thought it was beautiful that Harry named his second son after Dumbledore and Snape.

The last thing Severus wanted to see before dying was Lily's eyes.

The things I knew:
A Weasly twin dying (I wasn't sure which one, but I KNEW she would do it, it's much sadder if one died and not the pair.)
Wormtail dying
Snape dying
Bellatrix dying (I did think it would be Neville killing her)
Voldemort dying
Regulus was R.A.B.
The Chamber of Secrets being involved (I swear, but I thought Harry and Voldemort were going to have a showdown, if not the final one there, because they're the only ones who can speak Parseltounge; I would have never guessed Ron and Hermione)
Snape cared for Lily (Didn't know how much, though)
Percy redeeming himself

The things I got wrong:
Harry being a Horcrux (I refused to believe it, because it was said that there was an immensely difficult spell to make one, so I didn't think you could do it unintentionally.)
The Malfoys living (Come on, I really expected Lucius to bite it.)
Lupin dying (Okay, I thought it could happen, I was just in serious denial about it.)
Tonks dying ( I thought if one died the other would make it)
Dobby dying (I'll admit it, I teared up)
Kreacher living, and being nice
I thought the Ministry of Magic would play a bigger part, especially the veil
I knew there would be a traitor, but I thought it would be someone more shocking (like McGonagal, there was a good editorial on Mugglenet that it could be her), and the traitor wasn't Confunded or under Imperius Curse

That's my 2 for 2.

This is most elementary/ It took me 2 days to realize what it was after finishing the book. What was the last thing Severus Snape said to Harry Potter. It is the whole story of the seven books. Snape loved Lily Potter and by exttension, Harry. It was the eyes, don't you see?

I knew a Weasley would die, Lupin and Snape. Ifigured Snape was good, because of Dumbledore, and I expected Harry to live.

I was way off my predictions. I idnt think everybody was really going to have kids and get married. I did know one of the Weasleys had a chance of dying, though.

I I thought It would be way way different. I am with you on the whole Proffessor Snape thing. I had no idea they talked over killing Dumbledore. I thought he was bad too.

The thing about Lilys eyes isnt necisarily important, but everybody misses and loves Lily. So when they look into Harrys eyes it reminds them of Lily.

I really thought that Snape was bad, too. I was surprisingly pleased that he turned out to be on Dumbledore's side. I kind of had a feeling all along that Harry, Ron, and Hermione would make it to the end. I didn't expect a lot of people to die such as Lupin or Tonks or Fred. But overall, I'm pleased with the actual ending rather then my ending that I believed was going to happen.

I knew that Snape loved Lily Potter. I knew that from the beginning and that Snape disliked Harry because he looked so much like James, who he of course hated for having Lily.

I predicted that Snape wasnt going to be evil that there was something between him and Dumbledore all along, I though he would save Harry somehow in this book, and he did. I though that Dumbledore wasnt going to be dead, but he was. I also thought that Draco was going to go good, but he really didnt. I figured that some of the Weasley would bite it and only one did thank god. That was heart wrenching! But who thought Molly had it in her, " Not my daughter you b*tch"!! Then bam Bellatrix was gone! Wow, I was kind of shocked that she wrote that. But a mom protecting a child can be deadly!!

I figured Snape would turn out to be on Dumbledore's side and had simply been following Dumbledore's orders when he killed him.

I also figured that Dumbledore himself would show up and help Harry figure it all out at the end.

Beyond that I didn't really speculate. No brilliant deductions, just a couple of points.

There is nothing important about Lilly's eyes. He just wants his mother to be remembered, and he is stating that his son got his mother's eyes. . . .its not important to the story or plot at all.
As for my prediction - i thought that harry was a horcux, me and my friends were having a debate about it months before the book came out. THat was one thing that i got right! But i thought that Snape was a bad guy, and i felt very guilty in thinking so when i saw how he loved Harry's mom, and did what he did for Dumbledoor. . .
