The gift of salvation is free, absolutely, but there are condition s to receving the gift. God says first we are to believe in Jesus as our Lord and confess Him, and Know that HE is coming back for us again, to repent of Our sins and turn from them. We are to Love God with all of our hearts and minds, and HE says IF you love me, OBEY ME> So to hold onto the gift of savlation that is free, we msut live like Jesus, life for Jesus, speak like Jesus. Followers of Jesus??? what does that mean. Its means being like Him , living for Him, and speaking as HE speaks, without fear or compromise. God tells us that when Jesus was crucified on the cross, it gave us back our authrotiy in HIm to do all that He did, that we lost with adam and eve when they disobeyed. PPL today dont want to hear obedience and it is often not preached to keep ppl in church. BUt, we dont obey, we dont love Hm, and it denies what He died on the cross for, that we may live and be overcomers as He was. Jesus obeyd the Father in all things, and He calls us to overcome sin and obey also. WE can do that by the annointing power of Jesus , in His blood. He calls us to a sinfree life, and it it werent possible, HE wouldnt command us to do so That did not end at the cross. Grace will not cover deliberate willful sinning. ITs for past sins, and for sins you dont know are sins, and even for a few that you are just now struggling with and trying to figure out. But you have to be trying to learn and obeying what you already know to obey, or you wont be saved. The devil doesnt want us to know this, as he wants us to stay helpless little sinners. NO. WE are given power and authority to over sin as Jesus did, and how dare we make the cross of none affect, by saying we cant do it. He would not call us to the impossible. Please get out the word. God has given me many gifts of prophecy on this subject, and He says we msut be fully His or we arent His at all. SOon Jesus is coming. Ask if you are really His and if you are , you will desire His heart, will and not your own. Jesus can give you a whole new heart and you wont even want to sin anymore. But you must know you can do that, or you wont even try.
Get out the word ppl. Jesus is coming soon, and we need to be fully His or we arent His at all...

Awesome question.
Grace is the only way to be saved that I know of.
We come under GOD's saving grace when we accept Jesus finished work on the cross as payment for our sins. We are buried with Christ when we decide to surrender our lives and be born again (resurrected) as a Christ Follower. If we are a Christ follower we will naturally be about doing GOD's will. We repent and we start to grow and change with the help of the Holy Spirit. These things are the natural result of salvation, If you are saved then this will happen. Yes GOD's grace is enough to stay saved. What we "do" clearly defines if we have been born again.

Grace is what allows a person to become born again (Romans 10:9-10). So once you are born again, you are saved and this will not be lost. However, you should make the effort to learn what this means, and live a life appropriate for the Kingdom of God. We teach our children that they are no longer working for salvation, because by grace we were (past tense, already done) saved, but are currently working for prizes and rewards (crowns and stature in the heavenlies).

Dr G,
YES!!! most Emphatically YES!!!
Gods grace is so very much to keep you saved, I would site the following passages (I don't know all the references but i can assure you this word is true)
"don't you know that He that began a good work in you is able to complete it"
Titus 2:11-14 Is also an excelent passage to show exactly Salvation works to keep us in Gods will, the additional comentary on this scripture is in Titus 3:3-7.
I must confess I am very excited about your question and excited to share this with you. I'm not sure exactly why, But I believe you have a specific task for God to complete in you, and He is pouring His love out on you more and nore each day.
Peace and strength of Christ I bless you with in His Holy Name, the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ Amen

Yes it is. You are saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus alone. You cannot lose salvation. The only sin that is unforgiven is denial of the Lord's saving grace, which if you are saved you haven't done.

We are saved by grace (God's part) through faith (our part). The Lord said in Matthew that many will say to me in that day, didn't I do all these wonderful things in your name and HE will answer them, Depart from me, I never knew you. WHY?? Because they never "knew", had an intimate relationship with Him. He further explains: it's not those who say Lord, Lord, but those WHO DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN.
Not some easy slippery road all downhill into the pearly gates..., if it were like that, everyone would be doing it. Everyone who knows there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun wants that 'fire insurance', but very few want to walk the life of "love" on a daily basis. We are taught to "renew our mind with the word of God" after our spirit is reborn, and to "subdue our body" under our spirit. That takes some commitment and determination and some "working out you own salvation with fear and trembling". Grace is God's glorious gift that keeps us in His care while we are working daily to fill ourselves with His word, putting on the whole armor of God and using every piece of it against the enemy of our souls. Ask God and you will know. Even your question says there is a little doubt about "greasy grace".., and you know it's true.

Yes...I believe so. :-( Easy believism is not enough to get you to Heaven. Believing alone does not save you. You must be born again. Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is NOT being born again. Believing is the prerequisite for being born again. Jesus taught how to be born again. The Apostles taught how to be born again. Let us look at the first sermon preached in new covenant era which is Acts. We see here that this first sermon was preached by the man that had the keys to Heaven. Peter knew how to get to Heaven. Peter knew how to get saved. Acts 2:37-38 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. No Grace is given to us so that we may stand before God the Father, and be judged.
Before Grace if you committed any sin, you where not allowed a chance to stand before God, and be judged, you went straight to hell as an unclean spirit.
Grace allows us to go Before God, where we are judged by our works. Many follow Moses and Mohammad and other false prophets, but if we did all that they commanded us, believing their message was from God the Father, we may be justified and forgiven our trespasses. But those who taught us falsely shall receic]ve greater punishment.
Jesus came to save those who follow Moses, for salvation is of the Jews.
I will make them churches of Satan, those who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie.

Grace is enough to be saved and go to heaven. The question is, if you are saved is that enough for you or do you want to do more for him who saved you?

Gasoline doesn't get you anywhere unless you drive. Grace is given but if not used, it is garaged. Grace used, gives us a chance to get out and do the work we were put here to do. That is; love and forgiveness and a dependence on Jesus the Redeemer. God gives us the Grace to Eternity and it is not controlled by the economy but given freely.

first you need to make sure that you are saved-
have you admitted that you are a sinner, and then confessed your sins, to God, and accepted Christ as FULL PAYMENT for your sins. Jesus had to shed His blood to save us, and that happened once- and we are saved ONCE- no you do not need anything to else to say you- it is Jesus ONLY, not Jesus AND...
That is why grace is called amazing!!
There is a newer song that talks about this- here are the words
AMAZING GRACE, HOW SWEET THE SOUND,
AMAZING LOVE, NOW FLOWING DOWN.
FROM HANDS AND FEET, THAT WERE NAILED TO THE TREE= AS GRACE FLOWS DOWN AND COVERS ME.
nothing can save us expect Christ, and He keeps us!!!
