I'm getting married on Saturday and had a makeup trial last week. I was not happy with it at all so I have another trial on Wednesday. I want to look more natural with earthtone colors and a matte lipstick. Does anyone know where I could find pics to show my makeup artist?

I would either look through some magazines and see if you can find some ideas or try doing your own makeup in the colour scheme you want and take a picture to give them an idea of what your looking for. for my wedding the did foundation to match my skin tone, a light shade of pink blush and a pink eye shadow as I always wear pink and my wedding colours were pink and silver. then they let me pick from about 10 shades of lip stick that would match with my skin tone. I was very happy with my make-up because they gave me choices of colours. I would suggest asking them to see all the colour choices and picking a few you like and them maybe asking them what they think would be best from the colours you like. any good makeup artist should be able to give you the look you want. hope you find what your looking for...and good luck!

The best tip I had someone give me is to not wear moisturizer with SPF on the day of my wedding. The Zinc Oxide (that is the sun protection in the lotion) actually will make your face look whiter than it really is. Its true!! I took photos with SPF and without just to be sure.

Another tip. Use a lip pencil and pretty gloss. Matte lipstick will not match a "natural look" and the pretty earthtone eyeshadow you're going for. (I know everyone has their preferences) It will also make you look washed out! I would think everyone would want to have a beautiful glow for their big day. Use a shade like you wanted in the matte lipstick, just slick a gloss (even clear) over it. Your lips will look fuller, you will look younger, and have a beautiful glow!!

I have no idea what your coloring is to find a photo so I would suggest picking up a copy of a USweekly, Glamour, Marie Clare or even a bridal magazine and finding someone with your coloring. Some magazines will even tell what brands/shades they used to make the job even easier.

Good Luck!

It really depends on what time of day you're getting married. If it's early then you should go for more natural and dewey. If it's in the evening then you definitely would need to have darker makeup because the flash will wash you out.

In general though you're supposed to apply makeup a little darker than you would for a regular night on the town.

Two tips that are very important for good photography though is always have oil blotters or touch up powder with you! Shiny faces are a no no for the camera. Also use false lashes if you can because in pictures it really makes your eyes pop and you wouldn't need that much eyemakeup.

But remember all brides are beautiful on their wedding day. You will have a glow from within like no other.

Good luck and Congrats!!!

If your photographer is good, you shouldn't have any problems. I would say go with the style you are comfortable with. Photo shop can always help pictures after the fact, but if you are not comfortable during the pictures it will show on your face as stress.

So go natural and relax!

i would suggest looking through a couple of magazines or if you have pix of yourself that you like your makeup brings those with you and before she does your make up explain to her what you want. Good luck and congrats!
