There are sensors in the front rear and side of the car that will make the airbag pop wether your in your belt or not.
Even if the car is off and it is struck it can be set off.

No. But an airbag loses a lot, if not all, of it's function if the driver slides or moves out of position, which is possible if the person is unbuckled. There are sensors in the seats of some cars so if no passenger weight is detected, the airbag does not deploy. This function exists only to save money in case of an accident. Why replace an airbag that deployed when no one was sitting there to be protected? They have airbags n Honda Goldwing motorycles now.

Yes, the air bag will still deploy even when the seat-belt is not buckled.
There are sensors on a car in the front or bumper of the car to initiate the dashboard airbag, however in newer cars there are now airbags on the windows too protect from hitting the glass, and those are deployed when hit from the side, and anytime a crash may occur on some cars.
The air bag will not deploy if the car is moving 10MPH or less.
There is not enough impact if they hit something stationary.

Yes your airbag will still go off. Your air bag will deploy even if no one is in the car and it is running and gets hit hard enough in the front. If you are not wearing the seat belt, the air bag can cause as much injury as an accident.

Not true. The airbag has nothing to do with the seatbelts.
The sensors are in various places for hte airbags, and are designed to go off on impact front or side (in some cars).
The invention of the airbags is actually causing many to become more lax in wearing their seatbelts, as they believe the airbags will save thier lives in an accident.
Not always true.......

No, it is not true, the airbag system will function whether you wear your setbelt or not. Why would you not?
Many cars (both of mine) have sensors in the passenger seat that will disable that airbag if there is nobody in it or if they weigh less than some number (around 100 lbs, I think), but the drivers side will always go off in a frontal collision.
Do the smart thing, just wear it!

I believe the airbag will go anyway, irrespective of the state of the seat belt. The airbag and the seat belt are two independent safety devices.

Yes, there is a mechanisim in the front of your car next to your battery that consists of a 24 karat gold ball that is triggered by an impact of 20 mph or faster this will deploy an airbag seatbelt or no seatbelt

Possible... depends on the car. Some cars wont think there is a person in the seat if the seat belt is not hooked up and therefore not go off.
I think they do it to try and limit the damage the airbags can do.
