The prophets of the Bible were normal men who were blessed to be able to speak God's Words to His people.
Enlightened? No, not in the present day context of enlightenment.

You know, Yoda, the prophets in the Old Testament in many cases weren't all that special. They were plain ordinary men (a few women too) that simply heard from God and spoke the truth.
And guess what? I think ANY of us could fit that bill... Maybe you're a prophet too...

They're guessers. When predictions are made, everybody remembers those who made the right guess, but forget that there were just as many guessed the other way.
Any attempt to predict what will happen in the future is simply a guess. Certain signs may point to what you can expect, but often something interrupts.

they are so enlightened but they are also inspired from God through his angel jibril whom his mission to deliever the releavation to all prophets.
