every night he has being getting a dream of a witch chasing him with a rat in her hand and it usually happens on the old street we used to live before. i can't figure this out so i asked to see if you people can help understand what it means.

I don't think that all dreams have a deeper meaning (I'm sure others here would argue about that). To me, it just seems like a recurring dream based on childhood fears. Is there anything particularly stressful going on in your or his life? Many times, recurring nightmares are caused by stress. This is an area that isn't understood very well right now, however. If it isn't due to stress or anything like that, it could very well be something that he will just grow out of.

Well, I do enjoy trying to interpret dreams, since most of the time (not always), they are an extremely abstract message telling ourselves what we feel, know, or expect. So, my guess (this isn't based on anything), is that your son feels that at your old house (which is why the dream is based there), there was someone there that was scary, foul, teasing, mean, or something of that nature. The rat in hand would mean that that scary person possessed something that disgusted your son even more so. So a typical example of this in real life would be, say there was a bully around your old house that was pretty ugly looking, and your son didn't like toads... so the bully would hold up toads to your son and he tried to get away but the bully would chase him.

Witch represents the spirit of witchcraft and the rat symbolizes and instrument of fear. The spirit of witchcraft involves intimidation and fear to scare people. It is of a demonic nature. There may be some people in your son's life which are pouring some information into him which is causing him to be intimidated or scared, which is why he is having this dream.

i think your son just has a wide spreed imagination...[but then again whenever someone says this in movies it starts to come real and the kid was right lol] maybe he misses his old home and feels like he was being chased out or is afraid of being chased out of his happiness [the witch and the rat could be 2 things he's afraid of]
