The closest i can think of is:
Colossians 3:23,24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord Christ.
"Heartily" is an old English word for doing your best.

I can think of a couple, one already given.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ. 25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.
It boils down to who you are doing what for. If you do all things for God, you will be blessed for it. Do it for yourself or someone else, and the results will not be as good.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please the LORD,
he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

I'm not sure that there is a specific verse that says that exactly but here are some that can be taken as such when appied to any area in our life...
1 Corinthians 9:24 (New King James Version)
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
Philippians 4:13 (Amplified Bible)
13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [a]infuses inner strength into me; I am [b]self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
Hope this helps a bit. God bless!

Is it the last of these?
Proverbs 18:9
He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
or
20:4 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
20:13 Love not sleep, lest though come to poverty; open thine eyes, and though shalt be satisfied with bread.
21:25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labor.
Ecclesiastes 2:17-18
Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit. Yea, I hated all my labor which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it uunto the man who shall be after me.
Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither though goest.

Is this what you are looking for?
"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
-Phl 3:12-14
Those verses also can be used in conjunction with:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
-Romans 3:23
None of us is capable of perfection, only its pursuit, and that is all God requires of us.

Gal. 6:4,5 talks about not comparing ourselves to others.
Also, Jesus' parable shows that each person may differ on what they are capable of: Matt. 25:14-30

Is this it?
Ecclesiastes 9:10- . 10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going.
