Amy has a nice and pleasant face to watch, not talking about beauty but she just looks genuine. Rory looks fake to me, i couldn't stand her fake smile when Colombe kept the oven open at the stadium challenge and Rory was giving her a bad look behind her back and when Colombe looked back Rory gave her a fake smile. ooo i hate people like that and i am soooo happy i won't see her in a show at my favorite channel.
I feel sorry for Jag, he shouldn't have lied because he could have still won without any military or culinary background.
Something else i wanna add, I like Bobby Flay's food but i think he is soooooo snobish. Emeril is waaaaaaaaaaay more famous and better then him and is very modest.

I just want to add some details. I really don't care for Guy especially the way he says diners drive ins and diiives, don't like his hair, that look is for teenagers not men his age. I think Jag is better than him lol

You know, I completely agree with you on everything. I do think Bobby Flay thinks he is sooo great!! I am glad Amy won, but I think I like Rory's food better than Amy's. I guess I will just have to watch her show, to see if she actually cooks something I would like to try. You hit the nail on the head about Guy......enough said!

I think both of them (Amy and Rory) are fake...
Do they have any time cooking in a restaurant? I find them both very dull and their skills lacking. At least the previous two winners had some personality and were in the business.
From the first episode, I knew it would be Amy and Rory. They were "cute" and presentable for the Food Network audience. Columbe was too short.
Let's face it... Food Network is all about image while real cooking and food actually takes a backseat. Emeril lost his prime time slot. Mario Batali is not making any more shows. No more Sara Moulton, Anthony Bourdain, Ming Tsai, Sursur Lee, Tyler Florence, the Two Hot Tamales. However, They still have Alton Brown and Bobby Flay. You're mostly left with cute faces that have no restaurant experience - Rachael Ray, Sandra Lee, Giada, Nigella...
Amy cries about not being with her children and was very snobbish. "Gourmet next door" Come on... what's her background? I see her show as "The Art of Fine Whine - elevating the knowledge of ignorant masses."
Rory - She was terrible the first few episode. Her dishes were a mess. During the finale, she commented how in Texas everyone cooks over wood. Did you see the clip of her cooking over the bonfire? You don't cook over a bonfire. You let the wood burn down before you start cooking. She's not cooking at a Chuck Wagon. Rory's show, "Texas Chuck Wagon Cooking - What you shouldn't do at home."
Jag seemed to have a good chance. He seemed to have some abilities, but looked too menacing for TV. I missed the controversy that about Jag which sounds like he lied on his application, but if he did lie, he sure had more skills than the final two.
Emeril looks in bad shape yesterday. He was very puffy (overweight???). I don't remember him ever looking like that. I hope he's doing well, medically.
I am looking forward to a The Iron Chef cook-off where they're looking to add a 5th Iron chef. Real chefs cooking on the Food Network! Pinch me... I must be dreaming.

I just read the controversy with JAG.
It appears that Amy was eliminated and only JAG and Rory were the final two. However, JAG lied about his credentials and withdrew... so technically Rory was the winner, but The Food Network had to milk the show for publicity and to have a finale so they brought back Amy.
I guess I'm not a little more sypathetic to Rory. Rory should have won by default.

YAAAAA Amy!!! I too am glad that Amy won last night. For some reason there was just something about Rory that I did not like. I also agree that Jag could have won if he hadnt lied but then again his attitude was horrible sometimes. I look forward to seeing how Amy does. As far as Bobby Flay and Emeril goes I like both of them. Maybe Bobby is a little snobbish but he is very cute. I like watching him. My fav is Paula Dean. She has me laughing all the time she is soooo down to earth.

Actually, I thought Rory was better, but Amy's OK too. I'm glad to see at least a woman won. But Rory's smile is just weird. You must have seen her gumline, my husband and I compared it to a horse when it whinnies. The big question is when is her cooking show going to be on, or is she going to turn into Guy Fieri where he just hosts shows for the most part and eats at diners? I don't know why Jag felt the need to lie. He was a Marine, just not in Afghanistan. I mean, didn't he think Food Network was going to check his background? But I think he'd still make a great TV chef. Hopefully he'll find something someday.

I agree, Rory was allways playing to the cameras. Even at the Nets game had to wear a low cut top for attention. I feel sorry for Jag also, but I think if He would of come clean with the truth in the beginning He would not had to step down.
Also, Bobby Flay thinks He's God gift to the universe. Like His cooking, can't stand Him.

I didn't really care for any of the top 3!
The Amy person doesn't have enough personality to carry a show!
Rory - does she have really ugly top dentures?
JAG - looks like his head is square!
I did kind of like Salmon and the big guy who just cooks for his family.

I wish they would have actually gotten talented chefs for the show. It seems like none of them really know much about food and mess stuff up in the kitchen all the time. Food Network needs to get some real chefs for the show, not half-a**ed cooks who don't bring anything to the table.

she got on my nerves 2 im glad that dude quit so amy could come back i would have been ok wit him winning rory was such a ***** bcause she left that gay dudes bag at the grocery store knowing it was his 2 sabatoge him.

I agree, she is that image of a good mother who knows how to please her family and is willing try new stuff... she's in for an adventure! rory had a kinda citied look? not that of caring cook!?? whatever that means....
