There are no verses on drugs that I'm aware of. We know that illegal drugs impare judgement and have adverse effects on the body so we know they are wrong to take; aside from the fact they are illegal. Drinking was a normal custom in Bible days. Clean water was not readily available. Refrigeration for crushed grapes was not available, either. I teach our youth group and when they say, "Jesus drank." I tell them, "Fine. Go put a bottle of grape juice outside for a few days, let it ferment, and drink up!" Of course drunkeness is sinful but just to drink is not specifically condemed. But Drinking and especially drugs form a barrier between us and God. Drugs (and alcohol) become an addiction and more important to the addict than God. This is a sin. Neither drugs or alcohol serve any purpose in today's society except to get high, get a buzz, etc. Best case, they are best left alone.

In 1 Corinthians 6 : 19 , it says : " Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own ? VS. 20 : " For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's "
These are good verses that showed me why drinking & smoking & dope were sins against God's temple, which is what our body is ! I am a recovering alcoholic, sober since 1998. This verse helped me see.

Although the Bible doesn't specifically say "Don't do drugs", there are principles that you can apply:
2 Corinthians 7:1- Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear. (Notice the part that mentions cleansing ourselves of defilements.)
Luke 10:25-27-25- Now, look! a certain man versed in the Law rose up, to test him out, and said: “Teacher, by doing what shall I inherit everlasting life?” 26 He said to him: “What is written in the Law? How do you read?” 27 In answer he said: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind,’ and, ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ (How can we serve God with our whole souls, strength, and mind if we are under the influence of drugs?)
Here are some about drinking:
Proverbs 23:31-33- 31 Do not look at wine when it exhibits a red color, when it gives off its sparkle in the cup, [when] it goes with a slickness. 32 At its end it bites just like a serpent, and it secretes poison just like a viper. 33 Your own eyes will see strange things, and your own heart will speak perverse things. (Isn't that what happens when you get drunk?)
1 Corinthians 6:9,10- 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. (Notice that verse 10 mentions that drunkards won't inherit God's Kingdom. These verses show that it's no sin to drink, but it is a sin to get drunk.)

Jeremiah 25: 27
"Then tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.'
Deut 21:18-21
18 If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father and mother, who does not heed them when they discipline him, 19 then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his town at the gate of that place. 20 They shall say to the elders of his town, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21 Then all the men of the town shall stone him to death. So you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel will hear, and be afraid.
