I recently file for a bankruptucy and I had inherited a 2006 Toyota Camry. To protect my car I put it in my girlfriends name because she told me I could put it in her name so I did. After the bankruptucy I went to ask her to sign it over she refuse and said that I gave it to her is there anything I can do I doubt if any advice would be helpful but I feel I can say long bye to my car.

Looks like you just gave away a car. Only a fool would do something like that without some written agreement between you and the girlfriend.

You could sue her in court but I'm sure the bankruptcy judge would be interested in the outcome.

You did 2 stupid things: First of all, concealing assets that should have been declared in a bankruptcy case is a federal crime. And second, you legally gave that car to your girlfriend. You are going to have a hard time getting it back and then there's the nasty details about why it was given to her in the first place. Live and learn...

Write the car off (and your girlfriend) and be glad you are not in jail for fraud. In all the States I have lived in, when filing bankruptcy, they go back 5 years on anything of value you own or owned.

Well, you did something to defraud during a bankruptcy, and it came back to bite you. Sorry, but if you signed it over to her it belongs to her, and she can do whatever she pleases with it now.

Say goodbye to her and the car. If you try to take action, it will be revealed you defrauded your creditors by hiding assets, so there is nothing you can do.

Sorry.
