Bless his noodly appendages.

There are already several symbols purporting to represent atheism. The most well-known is that of American Atheists, an open atomic symbol with an "A" in the middle.
Personally, I eschew symbols because the opposition soon twists their meaning anyway - though the Invisible Purple Unicorn makes a good one. Easy to draw, since it's - INVISIBLE!

None of the above. The symbol for non belief becomes a symbol for belief in conforming to another persons expectations.

and the different way up go represents far too many religious contexts to be considered an emblem of atheism. It initially got here into play with Christianity whilst they absorbed a pagan faith into their fold and created the parable of one of the Saints being crucified the different way up...Saint Peter i've got faith. Then later it grew to grow to be an emblem of witchcraft and devil worship...by lack of understanding quite often. so no..you do not choose that.

They have a symbol, it is an "A" within an atomic symbol, I will brb with link.
It goes on the gravestones of American Atheist soldiers.
This is a colour version of what they put on gravestones.

I like the one that already exists. The atom with electrons going around it. This is used by the military for atheist burials.

Is it just me or doesn't the xian use of the cross seem a little like the idolatry that the ten commandments was to have banned?

I wear a moose on my necklace. I just love 'em. But not for my belief. No symbol is fine.
