I'd like to point out that her parents are ok with me now and we're not having sex but I want to make sure I'm ok in case it does end up happening...please, none of this rhetoric about us both being too young in the first place and all. That has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

as long as she's at the age of consent, then you should be fine.
shame on them anyway....they need to trust that their daughter is old enough to make good choices.
it's not like you're 30 and 16!!!
gosh!

Why would you want to have sex with a girl whose parents don't like you?
It's called "family" for a reason bro.
Tell us what plans the two of you have if she should become pregnant... Do you plan on moving away and hiding from her parents?
You might be 18 but you are obviously not thinking like an adult.
The age of consent doesn't mean this is your chance to pull it out and jump on her behind some bushes. Grow up. And give her a chance to grow up too. She probably has enough other stuff to think about at her age.

You have a right to be worried. 16 might be legal to consent but she is still a minor and your 18. We live in a world that says your guilty until proven innocent these days.

They might not get your for statory rape, since the age of consent is 16, and its not like your 35, so you are safe with that. Now, if the dad finds out you are poking his daughter, that should be your biggest concern, dad's tend to not like their daughters boyfriends, just for that reason and he would be more fearful than any jail cell.

If you are both at the age of consent, then they cannot get you in trouble with the law. You are both legally allowed to have sex with each other.

If the age of consent is 16 in your state, then no you can't get in trouble. However, the parents could "scare" her into saying she didn't consent which is not uncommon. Just wait until you get married.

Hard tellin, state laws are so much different from state
to state. Regardless, I'd suggest you put it on hold for
awhile, you're both a little young to be making a lifetime
decision that will either be somewhat blissful or hell on earth.

They would be able to seperate you two if they forund out, but there is no legal action they can do if she is above the age of consent.
